I had already been there with the school, but honestly, going back and seeing it with the eyes of not just playing around all day is amazing.
A place to visit, breathe the local air, walk while searching for volcanoes and enjoy the local gastronomy.
We went for a walk intending to take cool nature photos. That day we took about three hundred pictures of everything imaginable, from panoramas to close-up details. If only we could take a bunch of that home with us!
The flora and fauna of the area are spectacular. There are well-marked paths and you can also see wild animal dens. It makes you imagine the witch’s house from Hansel and Gretel.
A beautiful and special environment. We parked at the Fageda d’en Jordà car park and did the circular route around the Croscat volcano, then climbed up to Santa Margarida, admiring both the cuts of the first and the hermitage of the second. We returned through the beech forest to the starting point.
