Partly located within the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone, it enjoys one of the most enchanting landscapes in the entire region.

About fifteen Romanesque churches also dot the valleys with their beauty. Scattered throughout the territory, they are the best testimony of life in this region.
The route of the 15 Romanesque churches is also a tour through the history of the Vall de Bianya. The visit to these examples of cultural and historical heritage will allow us to go back to past times and, at the same time, discover different corners of the valley.
The green area of La Canya is the starting point of this route that continues through the valleys of Bianya, Sant Ponç and that of Bac and ends at the point of origin. The route, which is recommended to be done in three days due to its length, offers us the opportunity to follow the traces that history has left in the municipality.
This route will take us to discover the Roman road of Capsacosta, a great diversity of farmhouses and farmhouses well characteristic of popular architecture, and some modernist buildings. All this is completed by an exuberant nature, with forests, meadows, fountains… which are gradually discovered when a leisurely and peaceful walk has begun.
A visit to the Vall de Bianya Landscape Interpretation Centre, in Sant Salvador de Bianya, is highly recommended. It is the reception and information center of the municipality, which offers services to visitors, exhibition space, product display, a shop, an audiovisual and a didactic workshop. In addition, it is the starting point for guided tours of the center of Sant Salvador de Bianya, the Romanesque churches of the Vall de Bianya and the Roman road.
If you decide to do the route in mid-February, you can add a new attraction to this itinerary. It is the Farro Fair that is held these days in the Vall de Bianya, where you can learn about and taste one of the most typical ingredients of the region.
Many churches in the municipality were seriously damaged in the 15th century, due to earthquakes. The strongest occurred on March 15, 1427 and February 2, 1428.
