We will follow a circular route through the heart of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. We will hike to the interior of Santa Margarida Volcano, where we will discover a hermitage nestled inside its crater. We will then continue into the Fageda d’en Jordà, a unique beech forest that grows on an ancient lava flow from Croscat Volcano. The route ends with a visit to the grederes (volcanic scoria quarries) of Croscat Volcano.
