Les Preses, located 4 km from Olot, at the foot of the regional road C-152 from Olot to Santa Coloma de Farners, stands out for its attractive landscape. You can visit the Racó Volcano Natural Reserve, the Corb Beech and the Tosca Pedra Park.

The plain and the mountain alternate in a harmonious way, with crops and woods, which make it one of the most beautiful municipalities in Garrotxa.

The hermitages of Sant Martí del Corb and Sant Miquel del Corb (Romanesque) show its antiquity. The legend of the town tells us about the lake that occupied the plain of Bas, where the names of the ancestral farmhouses of la Mata, la Boada, la Torre, l’Avellana come from.
