Stage 3. Mieres – Sant Aniol de Finestres – Les Planes d’Hostoles – Sant Feliu de Pallerols

We will start walking from the village of Mieres towards the hamlet of la Cellera. We will then continue uphill towards the Iberian settlement of la Palomera –the route does not pass through it, but we can make a short detour–.

We will finish the climb at Finestres Castle and Santa Maria de Finestres, two vantage points with spectacular panoramic views.

From there we will descend close to the village of Sant Aniol de Finestres, from where we will head towards the Carrilet Greenway at Les Planes d’Hostoles, which we will follow to the neighbouring village of Sant Feliu de Pallerols.

Attention MTB rider

From Mieres to Sant Aniol we always follow the main track.

The climb to Santa Maria de Finestres is not rideable, so if we want to go up we must leave the bikes at the bottom and do it on foot.

Upon leaving Sant Aniol de Finestres, we find a short technical uphill section between Coll de Can Sala and Coll del Portell. We never leave the main track. On this section the Volta a peu continues along a trail to the right, but we do not follow it.
