This route starts in Santa Pau, whose historical heritage includes its castle, the main square (Plaça Major) and the church of Santa Maria.

At the highest point of the route you reach the remains of the castle on the summit of Serra de Finestres Castle and the small church of Santa Maria de Finestres. Both buildings offer unbeatable views over the counties of La Garrotxa, El Gironès and El Pla de l’Estany.
