This walk is the best way to get to Santa Margarida, a swimming hole near Les Planes d’Hostoles. The walk starts in the car park of the community centre (Espai Polivalent)and follows the Carrilet greenway towards Girona. Towards the end of a large straight section, head down some steps to the left to reach the swimming hole.

Near the route you will see the imposing farmhouse of Casa Jonquer, the Art Deco houses of Can Garay and La Torre dels Ti·lers, and the industrial colonies of La Dusol and La Majem, which were once powered by the waters of the river Brugent.
