The Sant Joan les Fonts Tourist Office, located at Ca l’Esquirolet, is taking a step forward as an information centre for the main protected natural areas of the Garrotxa. A new collaboration agreement reinforces its role as a gateway for visitors and a hub for sharing the region’s natural and cultural heritage.

Through this agreement, the office becomes an official information centre for the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa and the Alta Garrotxa Protected Natural Area, thanks to cooperation between the Catalan Government, the Alta Garrotxa Consortium and the Sant Joan les Fonts Town Council.

The agreement sets out a framework to coordinate the management of this facility and to strengthen the promotion of the natural and cultural values of these protected areas. The centre also joins the network of information centres for protected natural spaces in Catalonia, ensuring high-quality visitor services.

Sant Joan les Fonts enjoys a strategic location between these two natural areas and features sites of high geological and cultural interest, such as Molí Fondo and its lava flows, attracting visitors throughout the year.
