The small town of Castellfollit de la Roca stands on a spectacular basalt cliff 50 meters high and almost a kilometer long cut by the Fluvià River.

The narrow streets of the town lead to the old church of Sant Salvador, at the end of the cliff, where there is a viewpoint with privileged views.

Castellfollit de la Roca is one of the gateways to the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

The old quarter is located on a basaltic cliff, formed by two overlapping lava flows. Our tour starts in Plaça de Catalunya and goes through the streets of the old part of the town. Part of this route coincides with the ancient Roman road Annia. From the footbridge over the Fluvià you can see the spectacular cliff with the town on top.

In Castellfollit de la Roca you will find signs in Braille of different points of tourist interest that make up the circular route that allows you to walk through the streets of the old town to reach the viewpoints on the basalt cliff and visit the old church.
