We will leave Tortellà and head to Sant Martí de Sales de Llierca. From there, we will continue towards Beuda, passing through forests and streams.
If until now we have been moving eastwards, from Beuda we will change direction and head south towards Besalú, passing two important medieval buildings: Sant Sepulcre de Palera and Santa Maria de Palera.
Attention MTB rider
To reach Beuda we take the Can Codina shortcut, the same one followed by the Volta a peu. There are some short technical sections, but it is rideable.
When descending from Beuda we leave on the right the path followed by the Volta a peu, as it leads to a non-rideable uphill section, and instead continue along the GIV-5234. One kilometre further on, we find a turn to the right that takes us to Sant Sepulcre de Palera.
The descent to Besalú does not present any difficulty, only a few short technical sections.
