This circular stage will take us through some of the most interesting spots around Olot.
We will start walking at the Pont de les Móres. From there, we will head towards the city centre. From there we will climb up to the Montsacopa volcano, walk around the crater, and descend along the same path.
We will cross the Popular expansion area to reach the Carrilet Greenway, which we will leave to cross the Tosca Forest, continuing the route past the two hermitages in the Corb Valley (Sant Miquel and Sant Martí), from where we will return to Olot through this peaceful and beautiful valley.
Before reaching the starting point, we will pass through the Moixina area, the Parc Nou, and cross part of the Malagrida expansion district.
Attention MTB rider
The section from Parc de les Móres to Montsacopa Volcano is slightly modified to avoid a one-way street and a flight of stairs.
The descent from Montsacopa Volcano is done via the same path as the ascent, but we turn along C/de la Gredera to continue beside the volcano’s quarry.
We then follow the bike lane until Camí dels Desemparats.
We continue along C/Sant Narcís and connect with the Volta a peu shortly after passing the Tossols Basil sports pavilion.
We leave the Greenway and follow a track until the Old Road of Les Preses, where we turn right and continue to the C-152. Here we reconnect with the Volta a peu.
Before reaching the Corb Road, we turn left onto a track leading to Bonavista Riding School. We continue to the right until we reach the Corb Road.
We take the turnoff to Sant Miquel del Corb. From Sant Miquel to Sant Martí del Corb we follow the Volta a peu.
The return to Parc de les Móres is modified to respect and preserve sensitive areas of the Natural Park. We follow a wide dirt track that soon becomes asphalt until reaching Triai. Shortly after, we rejoin the Volta a peu, which we follow back to Parc de les Móres.
