We celebrate World Wetlands Day. As part of the Visites amb Valors ecotourism activities programme.
Indiennes were printed cotton fabrics, hugely popular in the late 18th century for their vibrancy. Producing them required not only good wooden blocks to print the decorative motifs, but also solid dyeing technique.
Indienne workshops were set up in La Moixina thanks to the quality of its water. We will visit this natural area, known as the Prat de les Indianes, to discover the surroundings and the production process. We’ll make a cotton fabric print with local plant motifs, just as it was done in the past.
