Stage 6. La Vall de Bianya – Sant Joan les Fonts – Castellfollit de la Roca

We will leave Hostalnou de Bianya following the Greenway of the Bianya Valley towards Llocalou. We will continue to the green area of La Roureda housing development, where we will turn left to join the Three Lava Flows Route.

We will follow this spectacular path along the Bianya stream until we reach Sant Joan les Fonts, where we will enter through its medieval bridge.

We will cross the village, and from La Sebastiana climb up to Vivers, pass by the Torre Canadell and descend to the Oix road. From there we will go down to the Fluvià footbridge to admire the basalt cliff of Castellfollit, and climb up to the village along the old Roman road.

Attention MTB rider

Once at Pla de Gibrella, and in order to avoid the Three Lava Flows Route, which is not rideable, we take the path to the right until reaching a picnic area in the Peracaula housing estate, where we can leave the bikes and go see the cliffs.

We then continue our route towards Sant Joan les Fonts and Castellar de la Muntanya. We always follow this track which will take us to Coll de Vivers, thus avoiding the non-cyclable section of the Sebastianeta.

We reach the GIV-5221 and follow it until it connects with the N260-z, where we turn right. We continue along the road until reaching the Clock Tower, the final point of the stage.
